James Steiner with LANDCO2 was invited to be part of a second design charrette in collaboration with UW-Extension, which offers community design events for organizations throughout the State of Wisconsin. This two-day event included student from Milwaukee Christian Center on the redesign of a community garden space and future skate park on a vacant lot near the intersection of I-45 and Becher Street on the southside. The students helped designers come up with creative ways to design the open space as a community gathering area and space to learn about ecological design.
